The National Reef Park of Puerto Morelos is a part of the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef System (MBRS), the largest of its kind in the Western Hemisphere. The reef is incredibly beautiful, with many fishes, corals, venus fans, etc. It’s definitely one of the best places that I’ve ever snorkeled. You shouldn’t pay more than 350 pesos (~15 USD) for a two-hour snorkeling tour including the gear. More than that is a rip-off.

What's not to love, it's the ocean! The world's second largest reef! It was an absolute blast and in a way it was healing and quite a spiritual experience seeing another part of God's creation.

Protected reef, and snorkelers are guided and required to wear vests. Beautiful experience. Easy trip that was well worth it.

Really enjoyed snorkeling in Puerto Morelos . Our guide, Toby was funny and engaging. He did a great job of pointing out baracuda, various fish and conch shells.

Beautiful reef. Very protected by law. Guided tours only with flotation vests mandatory. Wrist band permit for each snorkeler is required by law.
