My wife and I rode with Jose Chan (#863) for 4 days and he was fast, convenient, honest, friendly, gave great suggestions on what to do or where to go. We highly recommend him. If you are lucky, you too can have an amazing experience in and around Tulum.
The worst experience with Taxi cabs that my wife and I have ever had during our time in Tulum. Literally every cab we got into quoted us different prices. It became very clear that the driver's were stealing money. Once I caught on, I called them out on it. 200 pesos (about $10 USD) for a 3 minute drive to some places. The driver's all wanted cash and were definitely taking their "cut." I hope that Uber comes to Tulum and puts these crooks out of business in the near future. Until then, I would not recommend anyone taking a taxi cab during your visit to Tulum.
There are a lot around in tulum so very convenient. Went to a restaurant and was $100MEX there. On the way back was $250 MEX. Not consistent. Had car #231 on way back
