Its name is San Juan Yucuita, it is located 7 km from Nochixtlan, in the Mexican state of Oaxaca in the Mixteca Alta. Its original language was Mixtec, currently none of the 500 people in the municipality speak it. It was an area invaded and conquered by the Mexica, for that reason practically all the towns are in Nahuatl their names as Yucuita or Nochixtlan.
