In place "sunset" I recommend to go to breakfast. Boat trip in mangroves. Visit the island of birds and crocodiles. But the most impressive thing is at night at 9 pm to take a boat ride to the luminescence and swim in the lagoon for an hour in the dark and enjoy the phenomenon is a life experience. The cost is 200.00 pp

Lack tourism promotion, although the lagoon is near hidden harbor, tourists generally do not know how to get there by public transport, this complicates the desire to go, adding that the tour operators here in Puerto Escondido offered high costs to take you this gap, wanted to charge me 3200 pesos x 2 people (without food) simply take about 15 minutes away and a small tour boat. (I live in Cancun and there are tours me cheaper compared, because you take bacalar or the red by 1500 but is 4 hrs away and include food). They lack a lot of organization and tourist promotion costs to put fairer and thus more people visit Manialtepec Lagoon.

The bioluminicence depends on the weather conditions, but it is great to swim in the lagoon at night, the water is warm.
