Beautiful church in Baroque style. It suffered a bit in the aftermath of an eartquakeand and is undergoing now (January 2018) renovation.

Monday, January 6, 2020 at 5:00 pm Parish of Guadalupe, Don Manuel de la Borda y Verdugo began its construction as a shrine to San Felipe Neri in 1784, it was finished by Don Francisco Pérez Palacios and it was consecrated to the Virgin of Guadalupe on December 12, 1843. The main image of the Virgin is attributed to the painter Miguel Cabrera. The clock was placed on September 15, 1887, the original pulpit and part of the altars were removed in the remodeling works of 1977-78. The smooth quarry facade was always covered and protected by a polychrome lime plaster. In 1999 some damaged columns and cornices were replaced with gray quarry different from the original and the leveling was not restored. A prayer space with high ceilings with arches, light tones, very beautiful, tiles that form the image of the Virgin with her son Jesus in her arms, a little deteriorated from the outside.
