What a stunning building. Plenty of colonial Spanish history, well-kept, beautiful details. They do a lot to take care of the street dogs in Taxco and are pet friendly. I can't wait to go back!! The views from the rooftop are priceless. Rooms are kept immaculately clean. All I can say is "wow". We hiked up to the Cristo monument, which took about an hour up from the hotel. Very close to the city centre. The restaurant is also wonderful.

I JUST checked out yesterday from this hotel. It was built in 1620... it looks it. THAT SAYS IT ALL. YOU HAVE TO KNOW there is NO PARKING near the hotel. You have to walk blocks to park your car. The parking has 4 levels (E1,E2,E3,E4) E4 is near the street by the parking lot, E1 is near the 3 staircases you HAVE to walk to get to the street to turn right and walk up the cobblestone streets to get to Hotel Los Arcos. There is an elevator but it doesn't work. You have to pay for parking AT THE CONCIERGE. THERE IS NO VALET. The bellman is a sweet man but doesn't know how to drive. Back to the hotel, there are NO elevators. The bellboy isn't always there to take your bags to your room. If you wish for the bellboy to help you take your bags, he comes in from 10pm to 10am. Other than that, you can leave your bags at the concierge until the bellboy comes or take them yourself. They say they're going to help you with your bags; they are all women at the concierge, THEY DON'T. We had 2 huge bag backs and 4 luggages to carry. My kids had to carry those while I parked. They keep their reservations written down on a notebook (cute? NOT). They have a computer there in front of you. Weird. They give you the remote control to the TV in your room, you have to turn in the key and they remote control to your room when you check out. There is NO A/C in the room. You can get some fresh air by opening up the windows, but if the neighbors are BLASTING the music... you get NO SLEEP. The streets are VERY narrow, hotel Emily is next door and boy they are LOUD. We were NOT able to sleep till 5am from Saturday to Sunday night. All the hotels downtown are like that. It's better to book a hotel in the entryway of the city. There are only 2 sockets in the room. They will let you borrow an extension cord but you have to ask for it. It is not offered when you check in. There is only a pitcher of water and 2 glasses in the room. There is NO coffee maker etc... none of that... remember they keep the 1620 era theme in mind. ahhhh.... Bring your own soap, the bars of soaps are super tiny and they’re gone with 1 shower. You get 2 itty bitty bar of soaps. THIS IS IMPORTANT: be careful NOT to burn yourself while turning on the hot water in the shower. The hot water takes about 5 minutes to come on, so be careful when turn it off again… I used a small towel to touch the handle to turn the hot water off. I WOULD NEVER stay in this hotel or any hotel downtown. If you LOVE to walk on cobblestone VERY VERY steep and narrow streets, have at it. NOT for me.

The hotel in general it's all right, literally in the city center. Swimming pool it's hard to find and the hotel in general it's confusing to get from point A to B, many stairs and all type of floor levels, basically that's Taxco and that's what makes it stand out and a special town. There's a restaurant bar on the second floor, and one in the lobby with great food, please don't drink too much, you will have a extra hard time finding your room, like I did with all those levels.

This is a great place to stay. Close to the center of town and has a fantastic restaurant in the courtyard area. Filled with beautiful plants and great sitting areas throughout the hotel and also rooftop views of Taxco. The rooms are good size and comfortable. The front desk is friendly and very helpful. Very clean and reasonably priced!

Nice colonial hotel minutes away from the center. Was under construction a bit while I was there (lobby getting some work done) but still enjoyable. Room was clean and comfy. Don't forget there's a roof top patio -- worth finding for the view!
