La Mexicana

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Troncones. The owner Isabel and her awesome little dog Frida make you feel most welcome. The atmosphere is one of the best along La Playa. Very original chips and salsa to start and the best Baja Shrimp tacos I have ever had in my entire life. They make their own smoky spicy sauce that I would buy in a jar if they sold it. Desserts are fabulous. Breakfast is only one choice and it is a unique delicacy...worth trying.

Delicious Food! We were there just after reopening after COVID. The food is amazing. We had the coconut shrimp and fish tacos. I have read here comments about people having to wait for their food to arrive. They prepare the food in the moment per order....that's why it is so delicious and may take longer especially if they are buay. Remember you are in Mexico...there is no hurry. Just sit back relax and have another drink while waiting for the amazing food to arrive.

Best restaurant in Tromcones hands down. Had the Thursday special chicken Mole which was Sublime fantastic cucumber margarita. food is authentic and Gourmet excellent waitstaff. Friends went four times in one week and I can see why.

Very enjoyable dinner in a beautiful patio setting. Service was spectacular albeit a bit slower than we would have wished with three tired children. A co-owner showed wonderful hospitality and even allowed my kids to choose a parting gift. Octopus was a bit chewy and cool, but Chile relleno with chicken was amazing, chips and guacamole we're fresh and flavorful and tacos we're perfect. 5 stars if the octopus was on point!
