Eco Hotel Flamingo Playa

Friendly staff, good location, good pool but a bit run down

No wifi outside of the lobby. No shampoo and you need to ask for each toiler paper roll individially. Saw the owner throw trash into the unoccupied side-lot. INCREDIBLY rude front desk woman and even ruder owner. When we left our room (early before check out) but decided to wait by the pool for our bus, he came out YELLING at us that we were uneducated and had to leave or pay another day's rent to stay. Both my friend and I have worked in tourism and have NEVER seen anything like this in any hostel, hotel, or Airbnb.

On the beach, though a hike from the center. Other than the location, pretty much a dump with the owners just looking to sell the place at this point. They’ll charge a different rate than you’ve agreed to online, and it is much more expensive than nicer places on the beach that offer food and hospitality. I can’t recommend it.

Superb setting, right on the beach. Clean, except for comforters that are not washed between visitors. Hot water just a trickle.

Amazing place to stay in Celestun. Nice people and beautiful view. Perfect place with swimming pool few steps from gulf of Mexico.
