The worst grocery store in town. I only go there because it's centrally located and has cheaper prices than some of the others like SuperLake or Panchos, but half of the things aren't priced so you have to walk over to the scanner, it's not a great selection of produce and it's often old, and they never carry any berries or much of a variety of tomatoes. Even though I'm a regular customer I once tried to return something that was bad, without a receipt, and they refused to even exchange it, which was irritating. Often the lights are turned off and you have to ask them to put them on- I am a conservationist but if someone comes in they should notice.
My other pet peeve is their so-called bulletin board which is not Community friendly because you will put your expensive flyers and business cards on it and typically staff rips them off within 3 days, consistently! I don't have that problem on any other board. Overall, not customer service oriented.
Like to shop here for the fresh eggs and good bacon! Sliced to order. Good location and easy to get in, except Weds open market days. But if you go on Wednesday plan on enjoying a 1/2 day shopping experience .
Good selection of staples & condiments to suit NOB, Mexican, and some oriental cooking. Not a lot of brands, but they have all the basic vinagers, soy sauce, full fat coconut milk, rice noodles, sushi rice. There's white & whole wheat flour - even Gold Medal if you want to pay the price.
Along with groceries, there are laundry & cleaning supplies and basic hygiene.
Deli and meat counter is decent, as is the produce. Small selection of frozen products, mostly vegetables and ice cream. Dairy has cottage cheese & ricotta - a great find. Lots of cream - coffee, whipping, crema. One strange thing is I haven't found milk. It all seems to be in the shelf stable boxes.
Prices are reasonable, the employees are friendly and helpful, and they deliver! Plus, there's a reasonably well-stocked liquor store on the premises.
Can you tell I do a lot of cooking. 😁
Hard to get items are here. I prefer shopping the local tiendas myself but their inventory is limited. This place is so much better than Walmart or SuperLake price wise.. It's Mexico folks! Adapt!
Decent selection but priced for dumb gringos
