I paid extra $ to stay in a suite. I enjoyed my time in Guadalajara, which is a magical city. Guadalajara in the international community has fame for “thefts,” “robberies,” and scary cartel action. I experienced none of that. However, in the comforts in my expensive suite, one of the staff members decided it was terrific idea to steal my stash of US dollars. Management had me fill out a form (which I did) but didn’t seem concern in drilling down to which person took my money or showing any compassion or even express any action to go above expected actions for a “luxury” hotel. In fact, I was shamed for not using my security box. Yes it should be used more often, what kind of venue hires dishonest (thieves) employees then fault the guest for being too comfortable in their own space??? This place does. Plenty of other luxury apartments to spend money. There’s plenty of good reviews because it’s a place for people that have wealth can get away. Don’t let them get away with your wealth.

We had a neighbor who presumably had Covid (didn’t stop coughing the whole night). If the hotel is big why they have guests in contiguous rooms. Specially when this guy should used and touch the same elevator? I know that is super hard to control the a symptomatic people. But just leave at least on room between guests for safety reasons.

Wow. Incredible hotel. The service, staff, waiters, security, and chefs are all absolutely fantastic, courteous, friendly, and super professional. The food is very delicious, especially their breakfast buffet. The pool side restaurant/grill is amazing. I had the steak with tortillas and beans which was excellent!! I highly recommend!
