Hotel Mi CA-SA en Mérida

I stayed here for my study abroad trip in summer 2018! It was a great apartment with a great location and a very kind host. The specific apartment I stayed in was a two bedroom, one bathroom with a private kitchen and dining room on the second floor. There's also a common area on the first floor where you can sit and enjoy games or lunch with other guests. When I travel to Mérida again, I will definitely stay at Mi CA-SA en Mérida! :)

We have stayed twice and cannot say enough how pleasant our landlord, Dr Nelson Caballero, is. He is fluent in English and meticulous with cleanliness and tidiness and responded quickly to any requests. We had own apartment and a shared sitting area, semi open air, where we met interesting people from all over the world and enjoyed cultural exchanges. Wifi and aircon were good. We did not have a car but could walk one block to the famous Paseo de Montejo and then along that to Walmart and uptown to Plaza Gran in 15 to 20 minutes. The Uber rides were very reasonably priced and convenient.There are a variety of musea, concert halls and art galleries nearby. La Negrita Cantina was a favourite, just 15 minutes walk. The Saturday night open air traditional concerts, Mexicana Noches, just five minutes walk, in conjunction with a flea market, are a treat. It is a 30 minute bus ride, caught about 2 blocks from our apartment to the Progreso Beach for day visits. Many good restaurants around. We will be back!

I stayed here while studying abroad last year and it was a great experience! The place is exceptionally clean and filled with lots of beautiful plants that lend a homey feel to the location. Walking distance to great food and drinks, as well as downtown Mérida. Nelson is an excellent host who will go out of his way to make sure your stay is above and beyond your expectations. Definitely recommend staying here, whether that be for a few days or an extended stay!

Nelson was an exceptional host, made sure everything required was in the apartment. The apartment is well equipped, especially the kitchen with all appliances and utensils need for a longer stay and for inviting guests. The location is perfect, in a quiet neighbourhood, but easy waling distance to restaurants and cafes and the bustling downtown. I stayed in the 2-bed apartment for 6 weeks while on a Spanish course at UNAM, it was a comfortable walk to the university and suitable for a longet stay.

Nelson was an amazing host, always making sure we had everything we needed during our stay and felt comfortable! The location is absolutely perfect, walkable distance from the city square as well as many other restaurants and shops along Paseo de Montejo. I will definitely stay here in the future! 100% recomendado!
