ONE OF THE SECONDS BEST, GORGEOUS CATHOLIC., RIGHT SMACK NEXT TO MERIDA., IN THE TOWN SIZE ALREADY OF A CITY AND THAT STILL FIGURES OUT AS THE VILLA OF UMAN, YUCATAN. A GREAT PLACE TO EAT DURING MORNING HOURS, WITH GREAT AND DELICIOUS TYPICAL SNACKS, AT VERY DARN GOOD PRICES. ALSO A GREAT PLACE TO FIND GOODIES AND SOUVENEERS, ONLY ON WEEKENDS. I PARTICULARLY CONSIDER IT'S CHURCH, THE SECOND MORE GORGEOUS, AFTER THE FIRST ONE, THAT IS THE CATHEDRAL OF MERIDA, OVER 400 YEARS OLD., WITH ALSO ONE OF THE OLDEST AND GREATEST PIPE ORGAN IN IT'S INTERIOR.

Very beautiful religious architectural set, both the temple and its large atrium. On the old Camino Real to Campeche, Umán was a must for travelers and they passed right in front of this temple that between spring and summer the flowering of the flamboyanes of its atrium shines in contrast of colors between the intense orange of the flowers, the white of the stones of the temple and the clouds and the intense blue of the Yucatecan sky.
