It's a great place to live with nature and get away for a moment from life in the city. The local people are very friendly and always give us a warm welcome wherever we go. The place is protected, so you can see various animals and birds that are not normally found in Yucatan. The beaches of Rio Lagartos are beautiful and clean. In addition to this, here you can see the famous pink flamenco and know the pink lagoon, this is definitely an incredible spectacle

In the town it is possible to hire a guided boat tour of the reserve. From the entrance of the town, various promoters come to offer their services. The tour lasts around 2 hours and it is possible to observe a great diversity of birds that inhabit the area. Among the most impressive are the flocks of flamingos. The guides also know where it is possible to observe other impressive animals such as crocodiles. It is also possible to visit pools of the salt extraction company and with luck (in season) visit the famous coloradas.

RÍO LAGARTOS, I share with you that it is difficult to know what to do first and what to do next, even so our itinerary was very wise. From the Cenote Kikil to Río Lagartos it was 46 km 34 minutes, we arrived at 11:28 am this destination that has a beautiful boardwalk, the water with shades of green that you can only enjoy, you will find fishermen and boats for visitors, they have routes of two Three hours to tour the Biosphere Reserve here we met bird communities such as seagulls, pelicans, eagles and in the end we had to see flamingos, you will also find a crocodile as was our case, Mr. José intercepted us very kind, only that he offered us a tour with music and they didn't have music, they didn't have a vest and well we were already on our way so we ran the adventure, it really is not dangerous but I like that companies have a minimum vest, total we reached a lagoon of pink water and we go back. I invite you to write your own story until next time and have a good trip!

A very beautiful and well-kept beach and also there you can see the pink flamingos. Despite having a salt industry, everything is well preserved and properly guarded, I visited Colorado. I recommend it.
