Place where you find everything, the best brands of products ..... Here a little of its history It started in 1968, in Mérida, Yucatán, as a traditional wholesale business with routes of sellers-commission agents and distribution, mainly of raw materials for the bakery industry, under the company name "Proveedora del Panadero, SA de CV", which prevails to date. Its founder was Mr. Gustavo Vidal Ricalde Durán, a visionary businessman who also created the supermarket chain "Super MAZ", with a long commercial tradition in the southeast of the Republic, co-founder of the National Association of Department Stores and Self-service (ANTAD) to the that Dunosusa belongs to since 2005. Faced with the economic crisis that Mexico experienced in 1995, Mr. Ricalde turned the business around: He established a novel format of points of sale, aimed at the general public (retail customers) in their grocery needs mainly, under the commercial name of "Dunosusa". At the end of the first decade of the 21st century, Dunosusa had 235 points of sale, now we have 476 located in the States of Yucatán, Campeche, Quintana Roo and Puebla, and two distribution centers, one in the City of Mérida and another in the City of Puebla. The inhabitants of popular areas and remote towns have benefited from the opening of the branches because, in addition to the opportunity to acquire basic necessities at low prices, the arrival of Dunosusa in these areas has been a trigger for the development of the communities. Dunosusa has its own brand called "El Puritano", under which it markets rice, beans, sugar, lentils and chickpeas, all packed in its distribution center in Mérida. It also sells oil, juices, vinegar, dairy formula, honey and wheat flour, among other products, under the "El Puritano" brand. His approach is to sell groceries at low prices.
