Hotel San Carlos

Safe, clean, relaxing! Get a room on the front with a balcony overlooking the Square on Friday or Saturday night so you can enjoy the energy of this little city. Coffee on the sidewalk, lunch at the taqueria, dinner at a decent restaurant, and some great leather boots at a fair bartered price. A fun place for a quick weekend just across the border!

I stayed here the night of November 26, 2020. The rate was 670 pesos, or $33.59 when I paid with a debit card from the USA. Room 210 was clean, but interior, so no view or natural light. The wifi worked well. The TV had a good selection of channels in Spanish and English. The breakfast in the morning was good. I probably wouldn't stay long-term, but for one night it was clean, quiet, and safe. And that was all I needed.

Nice and clean. The rooms are comfortable (single bed) and include cable TV, air conditioning, closet space, hot water. It's right in front of the park which makes it a great lively location with plenty of foot traffic. There are convience stores and pharmacies nearby for what ever you need. The hotel does come with free breakfast. However, it isn't served until 8am which is inconvenient if you plan on traveling the next morning. I'm from the US so I'm used to having breakfast at 6:30am at most hotels.
