Playa del Carmen Archeological Site

WARNING. These ruins are not accessible to the public. The guards will prevent anyone from access. Do not attempt to visit. My suggestion is to avoid. If you want to attempt to visit, I would lie to the guards and say you are going to one of the restraunts in the area. They open at 1PM. Another option is to sneak in along the beach.

Don't waste your time. It's private property, you can't enter. Zero stars.

You can't actually go there unless you buy a house nearby. They've somehow privatised a cultural heritage of the nation. You also can't just buy a ticket or anything

The ruins are on the side of the street as you travel thru Playacar. We were staying at one of the resorts in Playacar and visited the ruins as we walked from the resort to downtown.

Out off the comercial visits , easy to do on your own .
