Used this company do go to Monte Alban in January 2020. The price was $60 for round trip. One of ticket office ladies speaks English so it was easy to communicate with her and buy a ticket. The bus ticket doesn’t include the ruin’s entrance fee(of course). The entrance fee for Monte Alban is $80. If you bring a camera to the ruins, you should put it in your backpack to hide it since I read one blog. You’ll pay extra fee if you bring a camera.

I used this bus to get to Monte Alban. The office was easy to find, and there are folks out on the street who literally stopped me and directed me to it. I paid $60MXN for round trip fare (note that you still have to pay to enter the site itself, for non-Mexican citizens it was $75MXN). The bus leaves Centro every half hour and leaves from Monte Alban every hour. The ride is bumpy and there is no AC, but the windows open and even though it was 33 degrees outside the ride back down wasn’t too hot for me. There was a big lineup waiting to come back down but we all got on the bus, and a few people stood in the front and got off at earlier stops. There was no guide included in the Monte Alban trip, but you can join a tour at the site itself, or just read the signs which are printed in Spanish, English, and one of the indigenous languages of Oaxaca. I would recommend this company as a budget way to get to an incredible archeological site only a short ride outside the city. For a (mostly) anglophone, everything was still pretty easy to navigate with my limited Spanish.

Older buses but great drivers. I have used this service twice to go to Monte Alban.

Terrible experience. Unfriendly guide, unclear offer (strictly nothing included, just the transportation), mass tourism atmosphere at each stop. I strongly recommend you to avoid them.

In Oaxaca we had to change buses several times and finally they put us in a Taxi which drove us to another town(Tule) so we could join another tour and there we had no time to watch the city at all. Take a taxi or just a bus for transportation. They are idiots and also can't speak english although they promise an english guide.
