It is in an excellent location (2 blocks from the main square and facing the Mercado in downtown). It was spotless clean. It is an old hotel but in a very good conditions. No a/c or heater in the rooms so it can be a little chill based on the weather. I would definitely stay here again.

Very clean, beautiful. Ive stayed there 4 times already. Love it. Best hotel in town if you want a real feel of Atotonilco. Limpio, hermoso, autentico, lo mejor de atotonilco

I recently had the opportunity to stay at this hotel for two weeks, but the qualities of this hotel definitely needs improvement. For instance, I shared a bedroom with three of my siblings and the housekeeping department knew how many people stayed in that room and only put two towels everyday. Also, the housekeeping department are not ethical at their workplace due to the fact they gossip in the hallways about guest and how dirty they leave the rooms. I also got very upset when the receptionist told me that there were not any taxis at the moment but my cousin called to verify and he found out that there were several taxis available. This indicates that the receptionist is not willing to help their guests. The last and the far worst problem we faced during our stay was the denial of our room keys because the were unable to be read by the scanner and we had to go twice to the lobby for them to reactivate our room keys. This was disrespectful because they knew the date and time we were leaving the hotel so it makes no sense for them to have cancelled our room keys. Overall, the hotel is very traditional and homey however the personal working at this hotel makes it difficult and unpleasant to stay.
