My wife was locked in a cold room with men and women for 14 hours by mexican immigration because her passport was hole punched. When I asked for the consulate the immigration officers ignored me (apparently waiting a bribe). When I was able to call the consulate it was closed and the emergency number that was given in the message didn't work. My passport says to call the consulate of you get detained. But I don't think that I want to go to Cancun again. It's lucky that my wife didn't get attacked by the men locked in the room with her, because it's one big party at the consulate.

They do not answer the phone, I wasn't allow to enter and ask a simple question (I am an USA citizen) and because of this I had to reschedule my flight twice. Poor service.
