Museo San Roque

Small informative museum. Has a nice garden as well. Most information plaques are in Spanish. Part of the free night tour available at the information centre in the main plaza.

💰Free 📝no english signs, so tip is to go on the 'Free Walking Tour' Valladolid so they can tell you the history behind it --------------------------------------------- showcasing historical sources, diverse testimonies and documents that speak of Mayan legends and tales.

Free entry. Definitely worth walking through, especially if you have an interest in pre-Hispanic artifacts. Spent about 30 minutes here.

The Templo San Roque itself, was the highlight of my visit to the Museum of Valladolid which is housed inside. The former church and convent served many functions over the centuries. Exhibits briefly cover the history of the region and the city. It's worth a quick look. Admission is free. There's a nice garden area out back, which is accessible from the street.
