Dolphin Discovery Riviera Maya

The experience and training staff was unforgettable. Once we finished and was buying photos it was time to eat. The food staff was very rude. Rushing us and making it very uncomfortable for how much we spent for the experience. We were the last tour of the day and it wasn't our fault buying pictures etc took the time it did. 3:40 and we were being rushed to hurry up get our food and finish. The rest of the experience was amazing and the rest of the staff was fabulous. Just sad it ended on a sour note.

Dolphins were amazing and we really enjoyed them! Dana was a great trainer and very knowledgeable about the dolphins and the manatees. However, everything else was a RIP OFF! We didn't receive all the services we were promised when we bought this adventure and the pictures were outrageously expensive!!!! Come prepared to be ignored if you don't speak Spanish and to leave a good amount of money if you want to have your memories.

We booked the dolphin, manatee, and sea lion adventure. It was better than anticipated! So much fun and the animals are very well cared for!

This was a great find and easy walk from our resort. During these times, it was really nice to have so many shops and areas to visit within the “Adventure” compound area. Pretty much 100% of people are screened or live or work within the enclosed area on this Caribbean shore line of shops resorts and activities. The Dolphin adventure has plenty of activities for families and such ... if you wanted to go into the water. With that said, you could easily walk the perimeter and enjoy the dolphins and manatee from afar. So much so that a few of the dolphins will toss you their ball and play catch with you as long as you’d like..... this sure would encourage a family to want to get into the water with them for sure. At this visit, we just leisurely walked the area and vicariously enjoyed seeing the kids and families have a good experience. The Dolphin staff and shop were very nice and helpful too. Plus on a hot hot day, the welcomed air conditioning was nice too. 😁.

How is this dolphin abuse acceptable? At night there are loud competing bass noises from nearby clubs and restaurants that clearly perturb the dolphins. (They makes smacking noises in frustration). When they aren’t performing, the dolphins keep pressing against the partition to escape their “pen.” I regret staying near here, as this must in some way contribute to this mistreatment of these captive dolphins. Please do not give this corporation your $, donate it to dolphin conservation and preserve the freedom of these intelligent animals!
