Mexico City is located in the Valley of Mexico, sometimes called the Basin of Mexico. This valley is located in the Trans-Mexican Volcanic Belt in the high plateaus of south-central Mexico.[62][63] It has a minimum altitude of 2,200 meters (7,200 feet) above sea level and is surrounded by mountains and volcanoes that reach elevations of over 5,000 meters (16,000 feet).[64] This valley has no natural drainage outlet for the waters that flow from the mountainsides, making the city vulnerable to flooding. Drainage was engineered through the use of canals and tunnels starting in the 17th century.[62][64] Mexico City primarily rests on what was Lake Texcoco.[62] Seismic activity is frequent there.[65] Lake Texcoco was drained starting from the 17th century. Although none of the lake waters remain, the city rests on the lake bed's heavily saturated clay. This soft base is collapsing due to the over-extraction of groundwater, called groundwater-related subsidence. Since the beginning of the 20th century the city has sunk as much as nine meters (30 feet) in some areas. This sinking is causing problems with runoff and wastewater management, leading to flooding problems, especially during the summer.[64][65][66] The entire lake bed is now paved over and most of the city's remaining forested areas lie in the southern boroughs of Milpa Alta, Tlalpan and Xochimilco

Very peculiar place, tiny and kind of cute. You can watch in this theater movies that difficult can be found anywhere else, often art or independent films, in little auditoriums with a few seats that almost makes you forget you are in a full movies complex... But the attention in the concession stand could be much better.

Long and narrow halls with smaller screens that are much higher than the eye level. Also very narrow aisles; leg space is a concern. It is an interesting place because of its movie selection. It is not bad, but it feels uncomfortable when compared with other movie theaters.

Small for a theater but good service.

Small movie theater/cinema with very clean premises and friendly staff. You can buy popcorn and other items on the ground floor and enjoy the large, overstuffed lounge chairs. They do have an elevator for the second level, which you can also buy items. If you are enjoying a long term stay in Mexico, you can buy a Cinemex Rewards Card and enjoy great discounts at Cinemex cinemas and Soriana Supermarkets.
