It was wonderful to see her home and how she lived. I chose not to take photographs in the interior. I recommend to get tickets ahead of time. There was a line around the block for those who chose to purchase on site.

We came on a Sunday. Tickets sold out by noon to enter the house, even though the hours are open until 5pm. You will need to get your tickets in advance. One of the workers, Adrian was especially kind and generous and helped our friend traveling with us with special needs. Would definitely come back!

I was only able to buy the tickets online. We waited in line for our entry time. They charge 30 pesos at entry if you want a sticker that allows you to take photos. The museum itself was beautiful, especially the courtyard, and it was great to see the art and learn more about Frida Kahlo.

This experience is absolutely worth the trip out. Staying in Mexico City, there are taxis that will take you directly to this district for a fair price, it is a quick trip, depending on traffic. The house itself is busy, but with the staggering entrance times, you’re able to make it through. Absolutely worth the trip.

A museum in a quiet residential area. Frida Kahlo's kitchen atelier is reproduced there. We didn't have a reservation so the staff told us to wait an hour and a half. We were able to get in in an hour. However, it's a popular museum, so if you don't make a reservation, you'll have to prepare for the procession. A woman was selling Mexican girl dolls near the entrance. That Mexican girl doll was Frida Kahlo here.
