What a shame that the Church of Santo Domingo is only at private service. Two days hanging around and we couldn't get in. They do not respect the established hours to visit it. A priest a little removed from the kind and tender of Jesus said that Saturdays and Sundays were for baptisms and weddings. Another misinformed or clueless priest gave me the wrong schedule. We asked for an extension at the hotel and to no avail. 😔 The good thing is that in my internal Church there are no hours and they are just that ... buildings. and the priests ... as human as me.
