I booked a reservation here on 1/10/2021 for both hotel and airfare. On 1/13/2021 I canceled because of the new CDC requirements. These requirements scared both my husband and myself of the possibility of being stuck in Mexico. I did take insurance that was for a credit. I did so since my confirmation said I can cancel before 2/24/2021. Not knowing that I would only get a credit back before that date. The rep Emily who canceled my reservation was not helpful. I explained all this to her. She basically did not want to hear it. She was like a recording. I asked for a supervisor and was denied to speak to one. Just so you know when I made my reservation I did so directly with Sunscape online. The being is I waited over 1/2 hour twice to try and make the reservation with a rep. When I canceled the reservation I waited 122 minutes to speak to someone. I did send an email directly to the company to see if they can help me. $1800.00 is a lot of money to leave as a credit. The crazy thing is that when you take a mortgage on a home there is a 3 day grace period to cancel but not with a VACATION.

Insects in rooms Non working showers Not handicap equipped Food is extremely limited Mold in bathrooms on walls This could compare to a $49 a night motel 6 Now... good parts... the beach was amazing and the access to the beach was perfect. Drinks were plenty and always Mexico has best bartenders and staff. If your not to picky and willing to grunge it for the weekend and beach is more important over rooms...this is the spot. I doubt we will ever return and if we do it would only be for the beach access.

The hotel was nice, the employees are their best asset! At this time the hotel is operating with a reduce number of bars and restaurants due to covid. If you are a diver ask to be close to the dive shop or dive pier as it is a long way carrying your heavy gear. Honorable mentions to dedicated employees: Pablo and Irving at the front desk. At the Portofino restaurant Angel and Rosana. Miguel at the Patio restaurant. Alma the housekeeper. Leo with the entertainment crew. Thank you for a great stay.

As good as can be expected for an all - inclusive resort. Food was mostly okay, not great but not terrible. Drinks were mostly one step above rail and mixed drinks were weak. Lodging was hit or miss - some were upgraded, others still in need. Pools and pool areas were clean and safe, staff was friendly and helpful.
