Chedraui Cozumel

I am a business owner here for over 2 decades here on the island of Cozumel. Chedraui has always used price deception, and have not kept their meats at proper temperatures I have reported them to Profeco many times. This one takes the cake. They do sell Argentinian beef at their main location. Unfortunately, I went there recently to purchase a Ribeye Steak to share with my employees for Xmas. We that did not go we at all. The steak that I was to purchase was for 249 Pesos per kilo. When they weighed it it was marked at 556- pesos per kilo. I immediately called them out on it and I speak Spanish fluently, but apparently they thought I was a Tourist. I spoke with Julio the butcher that told me that they committed an error on labeling the meat. I explained that it was not my fault and the fault of his department. He then basically threw the meat against the wall then abruptly left. Everyone there waiting was surely shocked and wondering why he was so upset at me the consumer. I then went to the manager and complained my story to her He then was summoned to her for an aplarant repremand, so then I left unsatisfied and angry. I can't understand why this event occurred, and will noe go elsewhere for my cuts of meat. So should you. h

One of two Chedraui's on the island, this location caters a bit more to international tastes. Both rival any US grocery chain, excellent produce selection, non-dairy tetra packed milks (almond, coconut, soy, etc.) alternative flours in the baking aisle, fantastic bakery, complete with pharmacy, housewares & clothing departments. Always super clean and orderly.

There have been many improvements over the past few years and this is fast becoming our favorite grocery stop. Prices are more reasonable than Mega and they have great deals available if you have a card with them. We haven't shopped the new store yet but look forward to visiting there.
