Very niche and unique marketplace. This is definitely where I would recommend for the more average of family style travelers. For the more adventurous and risk takers the larger Central de Abastos has your name on it. But if you don’t need to find absolutely every single thing under one roof and just wants to walk around for some light shopping, 20 de Novembre is the place for you.

Nice market. There are not so many tourists as in Benito Huarez. More locals are coming to buy from this market. You can negotiate everything. Also food area is great. If you want to try local food and local atmosphere you have to come here to eat.

Cleaner and more beautiful than ever. I have been eating at comedor Maria Teresa for over 30 years among others and it just gets better every time. Many of the families have been there for 3 and 4 generations. Another hidden secret are the menudo dining counters inside the northeast corner. Amazing!
