Café Nuevo Mundo

Just a great place. Nice environment, small but cozy. I haven't had actual meals there yet, but the espresso is excellent, the homemade pastries like pie and cookies are just fantastic, service is fast and top notch, very friendly.

Food is ok (bordering mediocre) I had chilaquiles and the salsa was too liquid with not much taste. Coffee was not good. Had a bitter aftertaste (oaxacan coffee is amazing and this was not). Service is very good, people is very friendly.

Asked for a table here, and the server simply picked up a check from the table from the previous customer without cleaning the table and invited me to sit. So I went to the self-service area instead and asked for an iced latte and sandwich. They brought out the latte with two sugar packets, nothing to stir with. When I asked for a spoon or stirrer, the cook came out with a giant bar spoon and asked me to help myself. Really? When the sandwich came, it appeared like it was microwaved, definitely not “a la plancha” as it’s advertised, which means the sandwich should have been pressed. Had to ask for cutlery, of course. I wish I could say the sandwich was palatable, but it was gross and I left with a sick feeling in my stomach. Not sure why this place is rated so highly here. At least they are friendly, so I’ll give them an extra star for that. But save your money and go elsewhere.

The best coffee, I always enjoy huevos zapoteco.
