Café Caracol Purple

I read about this cafe in an article when I first came arrived in Oaxaca looking for a great cafe. Absolutely love it! Smaller, artsy cafe with delicious coffee! My fiancée and I purchased some of their coffee to use in our aero press at home and absolutely love it! They also make and sell their own chocolate with a variety of flavors that is equally delicious 👌🏽👌🏽 •great coffee •great chocolate •multiple brew options •TONS of coffee paraphernalia for sale •chocolate & cafe are both locally sourced The staff is also super cool and helpful when recommendations coffee, chocolate and brew methods.

Excellent coffee shop that takes a lot of pride in their offerings. We shared a regular drip coffee and a hot chocolate. Top notch. Their bar chocolate is delicious too.

Best coffee so far in Oaxaca. Very smooth beans and a perfectly made cappuccino.

It's ok. I was expecting a more true espresso bar quality but I must say it fell a little below the standard coffee house I'm use to in California. For one, they don't know how to add honey to an iced latte (honey was just SITTING in different parts inside the drink and the drink was not sweetened in the least). Two, their matcha latte iced was served in a typical shake cup with a drive thru joint STRAW. It was not sweetened and the milk tasted like it was non fat and it was barely recognizeable flavor wise. It was not good. They were definitely polite and friendly. Thank you for that that's the reason I gave them 3 stars Their prices are high for the actual product unless you're just a tourist. Lol. I would recommend their coffee though like bagged coffee, they definitely have a good source for that and it's delicious ( I bought a bag). Anything with espresso is good unless you want it sweeted with honey. I liked the location and the seating. Just an honest review. Not bad not great for ME. Everyone is different. 😊

First world class coffee ice had in Oaxaca. This is where you go if you need a legit espresso. They do everything from aero press to flat white. The hill makes you work for it but hey it is what it is.
