Desviación A Zoológico Yaguar Xoo

This is a small, privately owned zoo with a small animal collection. I definitely recommend visiting this place, it's a unique experience. The animals are kept in very good conditions, with plenty of space and things to play with. They have mostly animals indigenous to the area, some from the yagul reservation accross the street, many saved from being "pets" found during police raids. A lot of feline animals. Because it's a small place, it has a cozy feel, you can get a lot of information from the people working there provided you speak spanish. They have entertainment programs like feeding time shows and a safari ride. 2-3 hours are enough to see everything in a slow pace. What makes it very special is the setting: beautifully rural, between the mountains, incredibly peaceful. A must.
