Hotel Huayápam Yuu Spa

We stayed recently at this hotel with a group of 15 Spanish adult learners from London. ***Good things about this place: - the sorroundings - the delicious breakfasts and friendly restaurant staff ***Things that could improve: - more friendly and informative staff at front desk - more signage to find hotel (it is hard!) - a serious upgrade to the rooms: light is super dark, beds are tiny and hard, colours make the room so gloomy and darkish - provide extra blankets (it gets cold at night!) *** Unacceptable: - In most of the rooms there was absolutely no hot water, or just, literally a couple of drops. We reported this problem on our first day. No fix. Reported again. No fix. A group of 15 travellers, plus 2 organizers left not having a hot shower in 4 days. The hotel didn't seem to care much. Seriously unacceptable. A shame, as the place truly has wonderful potential.

It's a very nice place, quiet and relaxed. I didn't tried the spa services so I can't talk about them. It's kind of far from the city, but huayapam town is a must visit place in Oaxaca too. The food in the hotel it's cheap but delicious, but you have to wait a long long time since service it's not that good. It serves Oaxacan food.

We stopped in for a quick lunch, and had the sopa azteca/de tortilla. They have one of the best in Oaxaca. It's always a pleasure to eat here in their dining room nestled in the garden with windows all around and views of the surrounding mountains.

The place is very beautiful, its access is a bit complicated but worth it, the service of excellence. Very recommended place.
