Las Ventanas al Paraiso, A Rosewood Resort

Fantastic hotel. Food was outstanding. Thought they were a little too proud of alcohol prices, especially wine. But, overall this place is legendary- service is unmatched anywhere.

The concierge Giovanni and Nereyda Lopez in sales are two of the best people I have ever worked with in the travel industry as an agent! This is a truly amazing property. Once-in-a-lifetime. You should absolutely stay if you can afford it.

This place is great! Since I’ve been to one of the sister properties (Rosewood Mayakoba), I did constantly compare the two. I would say out of the two, I personally prefer rosewood Mayakoba but my spouse enjoyed Las Ventanas more. We compared the two to the following Las Ventanas: better beach without seaweed, beautiful rooms, whale watching in December, but you can hear people next door while in your room. Great service. Rosewood Mayakoba has more private rooms, golf carts and bicycles. Beautiful, more spacious rooms. Not as nice beach, but pretty cool to be in the jungle one minute and at the beach in another. Great service.

We just returned from our second trip here in the past six months, and we can't wait to go back. We travel a good amount, and this place is the best of the best, especially during COVID. We feel it is more compliant than our home country. From sanitizing the elevators every 30 minutes to having shoe sanitizers at entrances to indoor spaces to staff wearing masks (and food staff wearing gloves), we felt it was very safe. We stayed on property for the whole eight days and did not leave to go to dinner elsewhere like we normally would. There was more than enough variety and we didn't miss anything! Our children (ages 2, 4 and 6) had a wonderful time as well, and loved all the little goodies and gifts they were given.

So I didn’t actually end up going in the end, I cancelled because I got in a fight with my husband on the evening but the staff could tell I was upset and wanted to know if I was ok and that is such a lovely and special feeling and I thank them for that.
