How are our meetings? Jehovah's Witnesses meet to worship God twice a week (Hebrews 10:24, 25). In these meetings, to which everyone can go, we study the Bible and see how to apply its teachings in our lives. Most of our meetings include question and answer sessions in which attendees can participate. They all start and end with a song and a prayer. You don't have to be a Jehovah's Witness to attend; Anyone can come. Admission is free of charge and no collections are made. In the early days of Christianity, the meetings consisted mainly of songs, prayers, and reading and analysis of the Scriptures, without any ritual (1 Corinthians 14:26). When you come to our meetings, you will encounter something very similar. Useful teachings based on the Bible are taught. On weekends, all congregations gather to listen to a thirty-minute biblical speech that shows how the Scriptures relate to our lives and the times in which we live. Those present are encouraged to continue reading the passages in their own Bible. Next is the One-Hour Watchtower Study, in which the members of the congregation are invited to participate in the analysis of an article in the study edition of the Watchtower magazine, which indicates various ways to apply in Life the advice of the Word of God. The same information is studied in each of the more than one hundred and ten thousand congregations throughout the Earth. They improve our ability to teach. We also meet one night during the week to carry out a program divided into three parts, called Christian Life and Ministry, which is based on the monthly Activity Guide for the Christian Life and Ministry meeting. The first part of the program, called “Treasures of the Bible,” helps us to familiarize ourselves with a portion of the Holy Scriptures that the congregation has read beforehand. Then, in the “Let's be better teachers” part, demonstrations are presented on how to talk about the Bible with other people. A counselor makes observations that help us all improve reading and speaking (1 Timothy 4:13). Finally, in the “Our Christian life” part, we see how to apply biblical advice in our daily life. In this part, we deepen our understanding of the Bible by analyzing it with the question and answer method. When you attend our meetings, you will be impressed by the quality of the biblical education provided (Isaiah 54:13).
