Very interesting place to buy mezcal, not necessarily the smokey type. They have plenty of homemade mezcal and do let you taste.

Great prices and quality. Also a fun place to visit. Warning: may cause you to think twice when buying fancy-pants bottles elsewhere.

Two stars because it looks like an old Mexican cantina/mezcaleria/apothecary. Pretty cool for photographing. But there’s nowhere to sit, the lady just asks what you want, hesitantly gives you a taster, and waits for you to buy something. And there are better places to buy bulk mezcal. Go out of town to the actual distilleries or pay 5 extra bucks for a pretty bottle somewhere. Worth it for a photograph, not much else.

This is like stumbling into an apothecary from a Harry Potter movie in the best sense. Mezcal in barrels, in large glass jars on various fruits, in bottles, tastings available. We especially liked the Pechuga, very smooth like a great aged whisky but smoky. Authentic!

Went here because of Google's recommendation and was totally disappointed. I honestly never post reviews, but this was a terrible experience. The lady working there obviously did not want us there or the couple who came before us. Totally rude. And, honestly, the mezcal was just OK. I would definitely NOT go back and would recommend that others not go by the other "Local Guide" Google reviews.
