I'm a regular meat eater and I have to say this is probably the best food I've ever had. The falafel dish was delicious and satisfying. Everything was fresh including the beverages, and presented wonderfully. The atmosphere was cozy inside and in the rear yard. The attention to detail extraordinary, and the staff are friendly and professional. This restaurant is a must if you are hungry and visiting the island, regardless of dietary preferences. Highly recommend.

Had the eggs Benedict. Gluten free, dairy free and meat free, all natural ingredients. It was fantastic. The plantain croquettes were my favorite part, they complemented all the flavors of the dish. Not sure what the “bacon” was made of but it was interesting.

Amazing food! They have the best chilaquiles on the island. The owner Lori is such a nice person. She's also a great baker. I recommend trying the pumpkin pecan cinnamon rolls, they're incredible!

Even if you're a meat eater, go eat at Chaya & Cacao! We've been vacationing in Isla Mujeres since 2015 (we even got engaged here) and this is one of THE best local spots on the island. The vibe feels like your favorite aunt is personally cooking for you. The food is delicious, nourishing, fresh, and locally-sourced. It's delivered to your table surprisingly quickly. The detail and care in the presentation is stellar. The price points would be double or triple in the USA. And Lori the owner is lovely. Support local. Explore. Have an adventure.

The aphrodisiac smoothie had a really great taste didn’t get to put it to use lol. Definitely a smoothie must place.
