Los Tacos de Humo

Wow, wow, wow! The gentleman at our hotel recommended this place for tacos and when I came back I wanted to give him a big kiss for suggesting it! My husband and I were super hungry after a long day of traveling and decided pretty quickly on the fish tacos (which came highly recommended) and the tacos loco. When she delivered the trays we were both stunned by how much food was on each plate. The portions are very generous and I can promise you that you will not leave hungry! After the first bites we were both moaning with pleasure, planning our next visit and trying to figure out how we can get them to open a location in Chicago. Not only do I believe these are the best tacos on the island but I'm not exaggerating to say they are the best tacos I have ever eaten. I am notoriously a fish hater but I always like to try things before I pass judgment. Taking a bite into these thick, juicy and crispy fish tacos had my head spinning with delight. And the tacos loco were piled high with 3 different kinds of meat and topped with guac and pork rinds. They even give you 2 tortillas per taco so, in my book, that's 6 tacos for an outrageously low price. They even topped it off with a special treat. I will sleep well tonight dreaming of our next visit because we WILL be back!

Just...wow!!! Best marinated steak tacos! Best shrimp tacos! Best guacamole! Little place we almost missed but will not pass up from now on! Georgia and Deanna were super fun. Can't wait for them tacos again.

I could write a novel on what a fantastic man and entrepreneur the owner is, but I still stick to the food. Mexican lasagna is like nothing I have ever eaten in my life!!! Worth ordering one for the table for everyone to taste. There isn't a taco on the menu that isn't pure perfection. They all come with three he erous sized tacos, so for sure plan to share with the table and try different flavors! There is also the cutest used book store across the street that is such a beautiful picture to take. If you come to Isla, you HAVE to stop here. I could stop just to eat the chips and many assorted house made salsas! And not to be left out, the finishing touch of that donut!!! I can't even! End of story. Eat here. You're welcome.

One goes to Taco de Humo with high expectations of outstanding quality tacos. One does not get disappointed I must say. The Tacos Locos will make you forget your sorrows and feel things you thought would not be possible with food alone! Highly recommend them! Fish tacos are also extremely good!

Excellent fried fish tacos. An order of three is more than enough for most people. The fish in each is so large and perfectly fried. The slaw has a subtle flavor to not overpower the fish, and the salsas provided go really well. Would absolutely visit again to try other options on the menu!
