SURAU DARUL KARIM (06/23/2013)
DARUL KARIM was founded by a female congregation in1950 at a site owned by a native of Indonesia named Wak Said (by mistake, he returned to Indonesia in the 1960s and cannot be traced, but the site still exists in his name) First priest Appointed by the congregation was the late Tuan Haji Abdul Rahman bin Junid, a boarder from Acheh. Although he was a Malay descent but he can be accepted by society because of their knowledge. His father was a 'Sheikh Tariqat Naqsyabandi' He led the congregation until about the end of the 1960s before suffering illness. Then Surau Darul Karim was abandoned until the late 1980s when the SDK was relocated to a new site on the land owned by Hajah Juminah bt Sarpan and Tuan Haji Supian bin Haji Pono. The SDK was later led by the late Haji Mohd Amin bin Haji Syukur until the end of his life in 1990. At this time the SDK was known as 'leaning sura' because the building was too old to tilt (picture will follow). After 1990, the management of the SDK began to be restructured although not so great, but it was enough to make its development more objective and purposeful. Its chairman, Mr. Haji Supian bin Haji Pono, has provided strong support for the development and development of SDK activities. According to the MAIS Enactment and circular which requested all the mosques in Selangor to report the sura land, Hajah Jumanah bt Sarpan wife of Mr Haji Supian and family agreed to use the 100kp existing surau site. As a result, efforts to develop the new surau building were underway. Approval to raise donations and charities has been obtained from MAIS. Donations from members of the parish and other sura chairs throughout Selangor, Perak and Negeri Sembilan have been made. Contributions from correspondents such as Dato 'Haji Syamsuddin (HOLDING HELP) and public donors were obtained. Although difficult, donations are still welcome. MAIS has contributed RM50,000. The cost of repair is approximately RM600,000.00
