The State Mosque has a modern design. It sits overlooking the Lake Garden. The nine pillars which forms the feature of the mosque symbolize the nine states of Negeri Sembilan. Each pillar were peaked with a star and crescent, symbols of Islam.

The mosque is very clean. Decent number of toilets and pipes for ablution. One downside is, the path from women's ablution place to the women's prayer hall has to pass through men so women have to cover their aurat properly after ablution. Mosque is very beautiful but do not expect it to be super modern looking because it was built long ago.
