SK Kuala Telemong

Built at the end of 1944 by gotong - royong on the banks of the river Telemong measuring 20 feet x 40 feet with a roof of nipah and sago leaves, walled and bamboo stalks that are chopped and grounded on the ground. Completed within 2 months. aged between 7 to 13 years. In 1949 after the old building collapsed, a 2-storey school was built on the current site by renovating Mek Ah Chang's house from Pelam village for RM100.00 as a result of public donations known as "SEKOLAH RAKYAT KUALA TELEMONG". There are currently 80 students . The building was in use until 1969. The teachers who first served here were; - 1. Mr. Abu Bakar bin Mohamad (Professor) 1945-1947 2. Mr. Abdullah bin Mohamad (Professor) 1947-1948 3. Mr. Ibrahim bin Abdullah 1948-1950 4. En.Abd Samad bin Long 1948-1950 The additional building of Block 'C' and the old canteen (used as a Seri Bina Meeting Room) are now under construction in 1967 and more than 100 students from Kampung Kuala Telemong, Kampung Kubang Palas, Kampung Pelam, Kampung Mesah, Kampung Lubuk Batu and Kampung Pasir Tinggi . This begins the era of modern schooling. There are now 2 blocks of 2-storey building, 1 block of semi-permanent and 1 block of immediate building as well as a new canteen, surau and 4 teachers' houses. There are 1 Headmaster, 3 Senior Assistant Teachers, 24 Teachers, 1 Pre-school Teacher, 1 Student Management Assistant (Pre-School), 3 J-QAF Teachers, 2 Administrative Assistants, 1 PAR and 1 Guard.3 Private security guards and 5 private hygiene workers.
