Come early if you want parking. Please bring trash bags, don't be a litterbug. Not really a swimming spot because of the depth. Really clear water, loads of tiny fish.

A best place to relax and calm your mind. With the clear water its gonna make a mind blown place.

Secluded, tranquil and eerie. Lata Payung is quite a sequestered attraction, far from the reaches of modern living as it is situated in one of the most remote subdistricts in Setiu. From Kuala Berang, it took us almost one hour of travel time to reach our destination. To arrive here, one must first drive through questionable routes that may be confusing at first but in the end you'll arrive safely without a doubt. The rivers are clean and the amenities provided here are well maintained. Toilets and surau are available. BBQ areas and gazebos are built near the river for visitors' convenience. However, the path to the river is filled with moss therefore one must exercise caution to prevent slipping.

This place is superb for a picnic and hangouts. However, the facility are not maintain. Luckily there's a mosque nearby so you can do all the changing there after the shower. You can just swim straight away after you start to find the river. However, the real fun is when you start to hike upwards until you find a blue pool. For swimmers, this is a must to visit since the pool is very beautiful. But be careful in Lata Payung, some places are very very deep and some current are very very strong. Make sure to at least bring someone who can swim together!

The scenery and environment is worth every miles and the hardship to get there, way better than sekayu waterfall, but it is quite risky to go after rainfall. On the other hand, the changing room is very filthy, not conducive at all
