Perhentian Island Resort

I'm giving 4 stars for the private beach, good food, and great service. The only downsides were: 1. Upon arrival at the jetty in Kuala Besut, we were rushed to get on the boat immediately at around 9am which ruined our plan to have breakfast. No return boat ticket was provided as per instruction by the Holiday Go Go agent. 2. When we reached PIR, we proceeded to complete the check in process but were not able to get into our rooms because there were still guests inside as check out was at 12pm. Hungry, we end up having brunch. Some stuff on the menu wasn't available but was not struck out from it but nevertheless the food was good. 3. We hung out by the beach until we finally checked into our room at almost 2PM. 4. Room was clean. Had plenty of storage. Even have a proper hanging area outside the verandah to dry your swimwear and towels. 5. Room 344 that we stayed in however experienced multiple random power outages throughout our 3D2N stay. 6. They offer a lot of activities, we of course went on a snorkelling trip which was worth every penny. Got to see plenty of sea creatures and of course turtles! The only issue I had with this trip was our boatman who offered to help us touch the turtle. He even told us to give the fishes bread at one of the snorkelling points. At one of the snorkelling spots too, saw some other boatmen and guides from other establishments just standing on corals as they watch over their guests. I guess it's something the fishery and wildlife departments need to look more closely into - maybe train and educate them.

Staff are helpful n polite.. beach beautiful near the turtle habitat..snorkelling package was great n affordable..environtment is great back to nature beach at the front n forest at the back..but the pool is dirty and not convenience at all.. bring a lot of drink water as u know island its help a lot..use backpack rather than luggage island trip what do u expect.. overall its a great resort to stay
