Kemaman Zoo and Recreation Park

A bit empty and the birds could have had bigger cages. Saw a lone (but very cute) baboon and a few tired looking tigers. Would recommend if you want to go somewhere for a bit of a walk but would not recommend if you want to go there to actually see and experience the animals and the environment.

Suitable for family trip with young kids... Have variety of animals.. However, most animals are not well fed n not in the best health.. Safety wise also need to improve, quite dangerous for small kids to walk around freely...

The price is cheap RM5 per person with free train-tour. But the condition of the zoo quite old. We need to support the animal zoo by funding more and pay visit them. I hope the zoo may continue support their food and shelter in optimum quality. The water-park not available anymore. But still worth to spend time family there.

Some areas are closed eg suspension bridges but still a good place to bring children here. Ticket also cheap. Recommend bringing some food or eat first before come here because the food store inside is not good. Sell frozen food like fishcake but no dipping sauce (typical recreational park price).
