An air conditioned 2 storey city library for adults and kids. Lots of study tables for students. Special area for kids. Stocked up with malaysian & international newspapers, magazines and reference books in english & bahasa malaysia. An internet surfing room available. Have covered & uncovered free car parking area. Books can be borrowed & taken home once you become a library member for a small fee. There are also book drop machine outside for ease of returning books.

The staffs are friendly, the internet is quite fast, the ambient is suitable for students to do a revision. However, during my visit there's a few pile of books on the floor. Maybe, the library is under reconstruction/renovation. I'm not sure. The books are not on the shelf/at the right sections.

Cons:- 1. Air conditioning has been broken for months, still no repair. Upper floor is unusable, so hot it is almost unbearable. A couple of fans are provided but these fans are broken too, only running at the lowest speed. 2. Selection of books are old and outdated. 3. Elevator is broken down for years. 4. Discussion room no longer available, has been converted to store room. 5. Upper floor have a lot of sustained damages, water leaking marks from the ceiling, gapped ceiling, unusable power outlets etc etc. If you're imagining an abandoned building, you're not wrong. Pros:- 1. You can use their PC in the Pusat Cyber Rakyat to surf the Internet for a cheap RM1/hour. 2. Their WIFI is free and fast. Overall, if you're looking for a place to study/read/lepak, you're better off going to Starbucks or McD.
