The Buddhist temple along beautiful riverside

Buddhist temple located near the Malaysia - Thailand border that serves Siamese people such provide Thai school for kids, alms offering to the monks and other common rituals related to Buddism. The temple located alongside Sungai Golok (Golok River) makes it unique and beautiful with nipa palms both side of the river bank. This temple can be accessed via boat or land. One of the yearly ritual & festival that still inherit till to date is Songkran Festival (Water Festival /Buddhist New Year) that celebrate on 1st of Waning Moon, the fifth month of the year(Buddhist Calendar). Those who abroad and stay around will go to the temple for this celebration. On the day of going out of Vassa (Wan Ok Phansa), villagers from Kampung Mentua (Mentua Village) and village close by will come to this temple and celebrate festival Lark Phra. The Golok River used to be the main route for this festival where the monks sitting on the boat and will be dragged by villager's boats till reach destination. Its happens in the past 40 years however now a day we not able to see this festival at this temple. Other then Wan Ok Phansa, this temple also famous with Loykrathong Festival and we still can see this festival every year.
