Corporate Affairs Commission is a federal government established body responsible for the registration of business names, companies and NGOs. Its headquarters is located in Abuja just like the CBN, and as such it has a representative branch in the capital city of every state in Nigeria. For Edo State it is located obviously in Benin City. The CAC office Benin is a medium sized complex located along the popular limit road off the Benin sapele road just before the famous agip/Country home junction. Company registrations as well as lawyers accreditation can be conducted here, although the process is a lot slower compared to it being done in Abuja or even Lagos. A business name or company registered and completely approved online rakes ola out three working days for the original certificate to arrive in the Benin office. If you ask me, that's poor delivery and inadequate service ie a company registered on a Friday will not have a visible certificate until at least Tuesday the next week, that's waiting Saturday, Sunday, Monday and then Tuesday. If you were a lawyer imagine how frustrated your client would be. I would advise they find a better alternative to that. Nonetheless, the Corporate affairs Commission being is living to its purpose, but can do more, try to employ more hands for speedy delivery even just for people that have inquiry, they should try to always put on their customer care phone line. Hardly ever reachable, and their staffs should try to smile even once a day. I'll rate then satisfactory, but there is room for dire improvement
