It's reputed to be the only such dedicated geriatric centre in Nigeria. That it is located and managed by the University College Hospitals affords clients of this facility limitless access to a broad range of specialist physcians and surgeons for their care. It's a new facility. Time will tell how well it is managed. At least one of such facilities is needed in every local government in Nigeria to achieve universal health coverage of the peculair health needs of the elderly. Kudos to those you envisioned and funded this one. We hope other take a cue. Most people in Nigeria wishes to live forever. No one wants to die in this part of the world. Invariably, if you live long enough, you will certainly need geriatric care. So, this everybody's business. If you don't support and build one when you are young, you won't have one for your use when you do get old. Selah.!
