The location of this Hotel deep inside the GRA, Ikeja may contribute to it's patronage. But the street, Femi Fani Kayode street requires serious attention from the government. Then perhaps it can be reckoned with, but the state of that street makes it a turn off for now.

I heard so much about the Presken Hotel chain and wanted to try it out. Not a nice experience. The room was not appealing. As I had an early flight to catch, I had to go to bed early. But a few minutes into switching off the lights, I wasn't sure whether the room was meant for me or for the mosquitoes that wouldn't allow me to sleep. Eventually, my alarm saved me from the torture. I thought that was the end until I got to the bathroom and discovered I should have booked another hotel nearby to go and shower. Water trickled miserably for a few seconds and that was it. Then it started trickling again. I managed to brush my teeth and after an endless wait had enough drops to pretend to have a bath. About leaving the room to take my taxi, the key wouldn't come out of the lock. When I complained about lack of water at check out, "Sir, why didn't you call us?" At least she put "Sir"! I don't know about the experience of other clients but this is my first and last time in this facility. I just hope other hotels in the chain don't have the same baggage and that other patrons had a different and better experience.

Well, firstly, do not think it looks anything like the website. It fell way below my expectations. So, because I looked on the website already, I just paid for the room without taking a look first. That was my first mistake. I got there with a flat battery so instinctively, I tried to find a socket and the only one that I could see was the one by the fridge. I mentioned it to the hotel worker who showed me my room and he nicely brought an extension box for me. That would have been a plus if the extension box was courtesy of the hotel. However, it was for him as he mentioned that I should help him put at the reception since it was his personal extension box. I also hated the fact that there was no information regarding WiFi login details or even the phone number of the reception and restaurant. I feel this is meant to be basic and should not require my asking for these information before getting them. Another negative point was the fact that my toilet had this black water in it. I assume the place was mopped and the water dumped in the toilet, yet the cleaner did not think it necessary to flush it right after. That was so wrong. Oh... said toilet had a bad handle so I had to keep it open all through with the AC in the room on. So the positives, all the staff I met were very courteous. The food was not bad. It wasn't awesome but it was good enough for me to finish the entire plate of food for both dinner and complimentary breakfast.
