This school was originally a mission school established by Catholic missionaries that planted Saint Joseph's Catholic Church Umuna before Government took over schools from missionaries. The school got a facelift from Governor Okorocha changing the outlook of the structures. The spacious field in the school has always been used by the community to host events.
