The National Library of Nigeria Kwara State Branch is a library owned and financed by the federal government of Nigeria, which oversees other libraries in the state. The library provides free reading services to library users, provides ISBN and ISSN for authors and publishers, library consultancies, book displays, readership promotions, issuance of subpoenas and summons, certification of documents, accept legal deposits of books, organise radio reading programmes and talk shows around long-life learning, etc. The library houses both foreign and Africana collections. They also accept book donations too. Although the library is presently located in the Herald's newspaper premises, its permanent site is along F division, Tanke. The library has a comfortable reading space that can accommodate up to 40 users at once. The library also has an I.C.T room with functional computers for users.

Quiet place to read but not well maintained. The electricity has also been disconnected for a while so it's quite hot and uncomfortable to read especially in the afternoons

Just a quite place to read. Not too many latest books. Dailies are however available.
