It's the oldest community in Imo State but many governments that come to rule Imo State neglected the community. Apart from the first governor of the old Imo State, Sam Mbakwe who managed to install the Aluminium Extrusion Plant and Electricity in 1983, the largest Aluminium factory in Nigeria, since then, no good thing has come to this community. The community has a natural beautiful stream at the boundary between Ikembra and Inyishi.The only road that passes through the community from Atta to Amaimo and Mbaise was abandoned for many years until Governor Ohakim came on board to put a smile on the peoples face. There are lots of prominent people from this community yet you cannot find any good thing from this place. The community lack developments and progress. Everything about this community and its neighborhood are poor and primitive. I visited this community in 1980 and revisited here again in 2018 and to my greatest surprise, everything remains absolutely the same. What a poor living?

I was born at umuoti, inyishi in ikeduru local government area lga) and raised at Owerri, the capital of imo State. My father brought Christianity to umuoti inyishi, and from there, it took off like a wild fire and spread across the igboland. Saint Andrew Anglican Church inyishi was the first church he established purposefully in his own hometown in an effort to convert his father from a practicing animist to Christianity. Saint Peter Anglican Church umuoziri inyishi was the second protestant church he established presumably because his wife is from the area. In
